Classes begin and end with a relaxation giving students time to become present to their bodies and to integrate the benefits of the practice into every level of their being. We want you to take the experience of being “on the mat” into your world, helping you to live your life from a place of greater peace and energy. Some classes may also include chanting, pranayama (breathing exercises), Self-inquiry and guided meditation. Most classes run for around 75 minutes.
We also offer private, specialty and small classes at a time that suits you.
What to bring
We provide yoga mats, blankets and props for all our beginner classes. We encourage you to purchase your own mat once you have an established practice.
Yoga is best practiced in loose comfortable clothing such as tracksuits or leggings and tee-shirts and layers that can be easily removed as your body warms up.
- Be attentive to personal hygiene especially as yoga is best practiced in bare feet
- Refrain from eating for an hour before class as yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach
- Turn your mobile phone off before class
- Return equipment (folded blankets, rolled mats and props) to the storage area after class
- Advise your instructor of any medical conditions (and arrive a little early to allow time to discuss this privately)
- Arrive at least 5 minutes before class to allow it to commence on time. Should you arrive late please wait until the end of the beginning relaxation before joining to prevent class disruptions.
